flickr: manu%
manu%, today is your day. we are celebrating you and your photography. i don't know much about you, and you haven't many details in your flickr profile. however, one thing i am sure of, is that you take stunning photographs. manu%, i feel like i'm in a movie, when i look at your work. the cinematic quality, draws me completely in. the drama, the intimacy, and the soft light that glows...it's gorgeous! i am sold! the vintage shots are perfect in composition and tone, and the saturation, very retro. fun, and more fun is how i feel about them! as for the skateboard and sneakers, i heart this photograph. it's my favorite. my sector 9 is my release, when i'm away from the ocean surf. so, manu%, today is your day here. you're awesome at what you do, and i must SHOUT IT OUT, and share your talents with others! now go and celebrate your awesomeness, and never stop shooting!! today is you day here.

flickr: SophieG*
SophieG*. today is your day. it sounds strange to use words such as negative, and minimalism, when referring to your work. taking full advantage of negative space with an overall minimalist theme, is what you do best though. your ability to show soo little, but say soo much, is brilliant. this is not an easy task. transparent, soft, and fragile her photographs appear, but powerful is what they always remain. SophieG*'s testimonials from flickr contacts, reveal the amount of inspiration she has reflected onto others. a painter of light, an illustrator, and an emotion provoker, are just a few of the words one uses to describe her. i have one particular common interests with SophieG*. In her profile, she quotes, "For me, the desire to be behind the camera has a lot to do with not wanting to be in front of it..." i could not relate more. With flickr's 365 projects creating a new found confidence in shooting "self-portraits," i began to feel lost. i think it is incredible that soo many of you are shooting such amazing portraits of yourselves, i really do! i'm just better behind the lens, rather than in front of it. so, with that said, i'm extremely excited to know that someone else feels the same. alright, wait no more. go get lost. SophieG*, thank you and your art. today is your day here.

she can also be found on "redbubble" in oxford, UK.

heidill. today is your day. your fotos speak to me. if you love tone, texture, and gorgeous use of light, then you will love the work from artist, heidill. her images are soft and beautiful, but not limited to just that. she has an ongoing body of work, called, "bench monday," that is timeless and quite entertaining. i'm assuming, it is shot on a "monday," always includes a "bench," and never reveals the subjects face. these photos are among my favorite; with stunning use of color, and creativity applied. i find myself anxiously waiting to experience the next addition to this series. it's obvious heidill puts lots of time, and thought into her work; the way of any successful artist. this passionate dedication has paid off. her work definitely possess' its own character and uniqueness. just look below. thank you and your art. today is your day here.
